The death of a four-year-old girl in 1971 was the beginning...

The little girl was killed by her stepfather. Months of physical abuse ended her life. This crime made a handful of people go together and start voluntary, non-political, non-religious and self-supporting organisation called Children’s Rights In Society - BRIS.

Today BRIS is a national association operating from five large cities. Its telephone, The Children’s Help Line (0200-230 230) has a nation wide free-phone number.

In addition BRIS, since 2001, runs a mail service within a community at www.bris.se, where children safely and anonymously get their personal supportive mail answers.

The majority of the helpline-workers are volunteers and the work is funded by donations by private persons and companies.

If you would like to sponsor BRIS through Team Hyperactive - Aconcagua 2004 please use Bankgiro 5254 - 2537 or Postgiro 6323 - 0 to send your donations. If you are based outside Sweden and would like to make a donation please contact Mattias Altin, mattias_altin@hotmail.com or +44(0)797 383 27 63 for further details.

Please mark your payment "Aconcagua 2004" and send an email to bris@teamhyperactive.com with your name, city, amount and any optional text/greeting and we will add the details to this page. E.g. Anders Svensson, Stockholm, 300 kr, Christmas Present for my brother John!

A list of current donations can be found here.

Please contact Kerstin Sjöbratt, Regional Manager BRIS region Väst at kerstin.sjobratt@bris.se, regarding any questions about this fundraising.
